This Privacy Policy explains how Shree Honnakirana Academy LLP, operating as PrepMe.Pro, collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects your personal data when you visit https://prepme.pro, use our platform, enrol in our programs, attend webinars, or otherwise interact with us.

We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and other applicable Indian laws.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our Services. Continued use after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the data reasonably necessary to provide our Services, in the following categories:

a. Information You Provide Directly
  • Identity & contact details โ€” name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, postal address, date of birth, and gender.
  • Account & profile data โ€” username, password, batch, chosen track (Student Success Core, Competitive Exam Prep, or Study Abroad Prep), and stated goals.
  • Educational & aspirational data โ€” current education level, target exams (e.g., KPSC, UPSC, Banking), target universities and countries, test scores (e.g., GRE, IELTS), and academic background.
  • Application support data โ€” for Study Abroad students: Statements of Purpose (SOP), Letters of Recommendation (LOR), academic transcripts, and documents uploaded for counselling, application, or visa support.
  • Communications โ€” messages sent via contact forms, email, WhatsApp, webinar registrations, and counselling sessions.
  • Payment information โ€” billing details and transaction records. Card and bank details are processed by third-party payment gateways; we do not store your full card numbers.
b. Information Collected Automatically
  • Usage & learning data โ€” courses accessed, classes attended, mock test results, practice activity, progress and performance metrics, study streaks, and AI-LMS dashboard analytics.
  • Technical data โ€” IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and access logs.
  • Cookies & similar technologies โ€” as described in Section 8.
c. Information from Third Parties
  • College or institutional partners who enrol you in our programs.
  • Service providers such as payment gateways and analytics tools.

Children's Data

Some of our learners may be under the age of 18. In accordance with the DPDP Act, where a user is a child (under 18) or a person with a disability who has a lawful guardian, we require verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian before processing their personal data.

We do not undertake any processing likely to cause a detrimental effect on the well-being of a child, nor do we carry out tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.

  • Create and manage your account and deliver the program you enrol in.
  • Personalise your study plan and provide AI-driven recommendations, progress tracking, and dashboards.
  • Conduct live classes, mock tests, doubt-clearing sessions, counselling, and webinars.
  • Provide study-abroad services including university selection, application, SOP/LOR, and visa guidance.
  • Process payments, EMIs, scholarships, and refunds.
  • Communicate with you about your enrolment, schedules, results, and support requests.
  • Send service updates and, with your consent, marketing and promotional messages (you may opt out at any time).
  • Improve our Services, develop new features, and conduct internal analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, and for certain legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act โ€” including providing a service you have requested, complying with legal obligations, and responding to medical or safety emergencies.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect going forward by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent may limit our ability to provide certain Services.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Faculty and mentors delivering your classes and providing feedback.
  • College and institutional partners where you are enrolled through a partner institution, for co-branded programs, certification, and progress reporting.
  • Service providers (Data Processors) โ€” including cloud hosting (Frappe Cloud), payment gateways, communication tools (email, WhatsApp, Google Meet), and analytics providers โ€” who process data under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • University and visa authorities where you request study-abroad application or visa support and authorise such sharing.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.
